Real topics about mental health for real people. In a "safe space" setting, we'll talk things out, better ourselves and remind ourselves that we are not alone.

"Unless we get real about how we feel, we will never heal." Mental illnesses are a real thing and should be treated as something normal. We need to talk about them to heal and grow.

Join us monthly at "Let's Get Mental Meetup" for real talk on topics dealing with mental health, peer to peer support and not-so-awkward mingling.

What to expect:
1) This is open to any adult (18 & up) who directly or indirectly battle with mental illness. It's a come as you are, casual environment.
2) Panel discussions on common topics that we can all relate to in one way or another. The panel will be made up of everyday people that connect with the monthly topic, as well as professionals in the mental health or wellness field.
3) Group activities that welcome discussion and peer-to-peer support. These will differ monthly, could be a simple craft or a game.
4) Not-so-awkward mingling: What do we mean by this? When you deal with any sort of mental illness, social situations are usually avoided at all costs. Because it's important to connect with others and build support systems, we will be creating ice breakers and activities to ease the pressure of a "hello" and help conversations flow.
5) There will be nothing to purchase once you arrive. Don't stress about having to purchase an adult beverage, food or anyone selling anything. Everyone attending is there simply to support an empowering night.

Sponsor: You can help make a difference by sponsoring the Hidden Faces Project with monetary or other in-kind donations. We are searching for businesses and individuals that would like to sponsor a model’s pictures or just make a general donation. Please complete the form and submit your interest. You will be contacted to discuss details and answer any questions.
